Werder Bremen are still making a strong push to sign Hatem Ben Arfa from Marseille. The Bundesliga side have sent a representative to the French south coast in the hopes of persuading the winger that his future lies in Germany.
The Champions League group stage hopefuls recently signed exciting attacking midfielder Wesley from Santos and that had led many to believe they would cool on the signing of Ben Arfa, but not so.
However, the Germans have used the excuse of how long the transfer is taking to be completed to lower their offer to €6M, rather than the €8M they had initially said. The Ligue 1 champions should be confident of bagging a compromise fee though.
