Bayern Munich’s interest in young Cluj striker Lacina Traore has been confirmed by the club’s president. The German side visited Romania to face Cluj in the Champions League last night, running out easy 4-0 winners. The game also meant the Bayern had a chance to check on Traore and make their interest known to the Romanians.
"I spoke with [Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge (Bayern Munich chairman), who is following two of our players", Cluj president Iuliu Muresan told Prosport. "And Traore is one of them."
The 20-year-old Ivory Coast striker has impressed many clubs across Europe and it appears Bayern are keen to steal in ahead of them. Cluj, knowing the ability of Traore, will no doubt demand a premium fee for his services.
