Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has revealed that he has received five job offers since he left Inter, but is determined to take his time over his next move, and would welcome the opportunity to return to the dugout at Anfield in the future.
Asked about opportunities that had arisen since he has left Inter, the Spanish coach said: "There have been five offers, two teams and three teams", Benitez told Gol TV.
"Of course, they all came out of Europe and in some cases out of England. We have been in Germany, Turkey and a couple of other solutions, but I think now is the time to be quiet, to reconsider, to look at the good or bad things we do and try to correct them to be prepared for the next challenge."
And Benitez readily admitted that he would return to coach Liverpool again in future, having been extremely proud to manage the English giants.
"I am proud to have been at Liverpool and I would return in the future. The future may be in a year or five years, I do not know. Liverpool is my home and the people treated me very well. I have a very good relationship with Liverpool and the fans. It [returning] would be an honour, but at the right time."
