The future of Alberto Aquilani is still up in the air after the player’s agent admitted Juventus have not yet made a decision over whether to buy the midfielder from Liverpool.

Aquilani is on loan at the Bianconeri from the Reds until the end of the season, but Juventus have the option to pay Liverpool €16.5M and make the deal a permanent one. However, sources from within the club have suggested the price is too high and, with Liverpool unwilling to drop a previously agreed figure, Juventus have been left with a big decision to make.

"As everyone knows, Aquilani is on loan at Juventus from Liverpool until 30th June", said the player’s agent Franco Zavaglia.

"The club officials will decide what to do at the end of the season – it’s all up to them, let’s wait and see."

And Zavaglia did admit that he has heard rumours that Aquilani’s former club Roma may try to move for his client.

"Some media reports are claiming that his former club Roma could decide to pursue Aquilani, but I am sceptical about such claims."
