Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla has declared his happiness at Villarreal.

The 26-year-old has been linked with several clubs in the current transfer window, most notably English Premier League outfit Liverpool, but is not keen to leave the Yellow Submarine.

Indeed, Cazorla believes there is no reason to quit the Spanish side given their participation in next season’s Champions League. A move to Anfield would see Cazorla miss out on European competition entirely in the 2011/12 campaign.

"I am very happy at Villarreal, we will play in the Champions League, a very important competition", said the Spaniard.

"The club has helped me to grow up and I will always be grateful to it."

Such talk may be unlikely to dissuade Cazorla’s suitors, but if the player himself chooses to snub interest and commit to Villarreal, that will be a big boost for the Spanish side.
