Robbie Keane has left Tottenham Hotspur to move to Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Irishman will link up with former England international David Beckham and United States striker Landon Donovan at the club.

Keane has cost Los Angeles a fee of £3M and will take home £2.8M per year; the former Liverpool man has signed a two-year contract with the MLS outfit.

"I have always wanted to come and play in the MLS, so it’s the perfect combination for me and a dream come true", said Keane of his move.

Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena was also delighted that the 31-year-old will be joining up with the American side.

"I have followed his career and have always respected his ability as a competitor and a goalscorer."
