Brazilian striker Hulk has dropped yet another hint that he is on the verge of leaving FC Porto by telling the Portuguese club’s fans that they will be forever in his heart.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Champions League winners Chelsea after Porto adopted a more realistic approach to selling the powerful goal-getter.
Despite having a buy-out clause of €100M, Porto are thought ready to accept around €38M for the man they signed in 2008 from Japanese side Tokyo Verdy.
And so it would not be a surprise to see Hulk land at Chelsea imminently – something he has further fuelled talk of with his latest comments.
"If the time comes to leave Porto, the club and the fans will always hold a special place in my heart", Hulk told Lancenet.
"I can only thank them for the affection they have shown me.
"I will continue to work hard and keep my feet on the ground regardless of whether or not I stay at Porto.
"I have won many titles in the last four seasons at Porto and I think I have a good relationship with everyone. If the time comes to go, it will be with good fealings.
"I was happy here and I am sure everyone would understand a decision to leave."
Hulk powered Porto to yet another Portuguese title last season, scoring 16 goals along the way.
