Schalke have loaned Spanish midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado to Russian side Spartak Moscow.
The 26-year-old will spend the entire 2012/13 season in the Russian capital.
Jurado was brought to Schalke in 2010 from Atletico Madrid, but the recent arrival of Ibrahim Afellay on loan from Barcelona has left the schemer surplus to requirements at the Ruhr giants.
The Spaniard started his career at Real Madrid, but struggled to break through into the first team at the Bernabeu and crossed the city in 2006 to sign for Atletico Madrid.
He spent a spell on loan at Real Mallorca before joining Schalke in 2010.
Jurado has played for Spain from Under-16 level through to Under-21 level.
