Swansea City may not have finished their summer spending, with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser linking the Premier League side with a late bid for midfielder Benat.
Michael Laudrup’s side have been doing much shopping in La Liga and the 25-year-old Real Betis midfielder is the latest name on the Dane’s list.
A highly-rated defensively-minded midfielder, Benat made his senior Spain debut this year, in a sign of his rising stock in his homeland.
The former Athletic Bilbao youth-teamer made his debut against Serbia in a friendly in May.
Now Benat could be the subject of a late offer from Swansea, although Betis will not want to lose such a key performer this late in the transfer window.
Benat is under contract with Betis until 2014.
