Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are considering a January move for Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, according to Turkish newspaper Haberturk.

Pavlyuchenko currently turns out for Russian Premier League outfit Lokomotiv Moscow, a side he only joined from Tottenham Hotspur in the 2012 winter transfer window.

relatedNewsStoryHe has found the back of the net for Lokomotiv this season, notching three goals in seven Premier League appearances so far.

And under contract until 2015, the Russian side will undoubtedly need to be made a generous offer in order to consider selling the 30-year-old.

Fenerbahce however are in desperate need of a goalscorer and have disappointed badly in front of goal so far this season.

Indeed, the Yellow Canaries have managed just nine goals in seven Super Lig games, with three of those coming in their last match, a 3-0 home victory over rivals Besiktas.

And so, Fenerbahce may be willing to push the boat out to tempt Pavlyuchenko to Turkey.

Pavlyuchenko rose to prominence at Spartak Moscow, earning a switch to Tottenham in 2008.
