Highly-rated Valencia centre-back Adil Rami has sent a "come-and-get-me" plea to his suitors by admitting he wants to play for one of the continent’s elite clubs, preferably in England.

The France international has cut an impressive figure at the Mestalla since arriving at Valencia in the summer of 2011.

He quickly picked up a number of admirers, including English Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United, while Italian giants AC Milan are attentive to his abilities.

Recently wealthy Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala made an approach for Rami, but were given short shrift.

"I am not going to Anzhi Makhachkala, despite a good proposal", the 27-year-old told French daily Le Parisien.

"I have not said my last word with Les Bleus and I will consider this when making my choice", he continued, in a nod to his continuing international ambitions.

"A move to England? Maybe. I need to be playing for a big European club."

Rami has featured in 24 La Liga games for Valencia so far this season.

He is under contract in Spain until 2015.
