In-demand attacking midfielder Mario Gotze is set to disappoint his suitors this summer, his agent has revealed.

Gotze currently turns out for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and his performances for Jurgen Klopp’s men have regularly attracted attention from some of the biggest clubs on the continent.

Interest in the Germany international has been particularly fierce in England, where both Arsenal and Manchester City have been mooted as exploring whether they can tempt Gotze to the Premier League this summer by activating a €40M release clause.

However, the 20-year-old has consistently proclaimed his love for Dortmund and the player’s agent Volker Struth has insisted that his client will not be upping sticks from the Ruhr for at least 12 months.

"Mario feels good at Borussia and he does not intend to consider proposals from other clubs", Struth was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

"He will still stay for another year, at least."

While Gotze has experienced domestic disappointment this season with Dortmund, being beaten to the Bundesliga title by Bayern Munich, he could yet enjoy European success.

Dortmund are safely through to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will face Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid.
