Mario Gomez’s agent has denied reports saying his client had agreed a move to Serie A side Fiorentina, adding that his future will be resolved soon.

Gomez has been courted by Fiorentina as well as Napoli and Juventus after it was understood he would be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Gomez has found playing time limited this season, but he still managed 21 league games and scored 11 goals, while an additional brace helped Bayern Munich secure the treble in the DFB Pokal final win over his former club Stuttgart.

His agent Uli Ferber has previously also rejected notions of a €20m deal with Napoli and reiterated that no concrete solution over Gomez’s future had yet been achieved.

When asked about Gomez going to Fiorentina, Ferber told Sport 1 television: "That’s not true. But it’s not going to be a major assignment [finding a new club].

"One thing is for sure – he will only go to a club where he will be a first-choice striker."

Gomez, who moved to Bayern Munich in 2009, has a contract that ties him at the Allianz Arena until 2016.

His international career has seen him earn a total 58 caps for Germany, scoring 25 goals along the way.
