Tottenham Hotspur have seen a €20m bid knocked back by Italian giants Inter for Fredy Guarin, according to Sky Italia.

The large offer landed on president Massimo Moratti’s doormat, but the Nerazzurri supremo opted to turn down the bid.

Moratti views the Colombian midfielder as a key man in his new look Inter side, although that does not rule out the possibility of a sale in the future.

Indeed, Moratti is keen to see if Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas will return with an improved offer for Guarin, a player the president knows the Portuguese rates highly.

He joined Inter in 2012, initially on loan, before the Nerazzurri made the move permanent for €11m.

Guarin has won 39 caps for Colombia at international level.
