Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has admitted that it is logical to discuss a potential to a move to Catalan giants Barcelona during the upcoming transfer window.
Silva, 29, moved to Ligue 1 giants PSG from Serie A side AC Milan for a fee of €42m last summer. Since then, the Brazilian has become part and parcel of the club’s defensive line, making a total 34 appearances for the club in all competitions during the 2012/13 campaign.
Silva has been strongly linked with La Liga heavyweights Barcelona, who are in search of a new central defender that can patch up their leaky backline, which was placed into full view during their 4-0 humbling against Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the Champions League last season.
In recent weeks, Silva’s agent has revealed that the defender will not be leaving the Parc des Princes any time soon, but his client may well be hinting otherwise.

"It is normal to talk about [my] possible move to Barcelona. The market is about to open and clubs are beginning to move", the PSG defender told Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo.
"But for now, I am fully concentrated on the national team, and I can only think of winning the Confederations Cup at the moment", Silva added.
Silva has a contract with PSG until 2017.
