David Moyes will lead Premier League champions Manchester United off on their 2013/14 campaign with a visit to Wales and Michael Laudrup’s League Cup-winning Swansea City.
Moyes’ first season as Manchester United boss will see a much tougher test in the third round of fixtures with a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool, even as the Merseysiders kick off the opening day on 17th August against Stoke.
Jose Mourinho’s return to Chelsea, who boast the highest win percentage for opening-day fixtures alongside Manchester United, will give newly promoted Hull City a massive welcome to the top flight at Stamford Bridge.
A bigger clash awaits just a week after that as Mourinho and Moyes will lock horns at Old Trafford in what will be seen as the Portuguese’s benchmark for his second Chelsea stint.
