Dimitri Payet is holding the door open for a possible switch to Arsenal this summer and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could choose to launch a late swoop for the 26-year-old.

Currently under contract with Lille, Marseille are pushing hard to sign Payet and the 26-year-old is prepared to land at the Stade Velodrome – if Arsenal do not come calling.

According to Infosport, Payet is keen for the Gunners to make an approach and would be willing to snub Marseille’s advances if they do.

And Wenger is a fan of the winger, with a swoop currently under consideration at the Emirates Stadium.
