Spain Under-21 goalkeeper David de Gea appears to have added fuel to the fire of talk that Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara will be joining him at Manchester United next season.
Thiago scored a sensational hat-trick for Spain Under-21s in their European Under-21 Championship final victory over Italy Under-21s on Tuesday evening, with La Roja running out comfortable 4-2 winners in Jerusalem.
There has been talk that the Barcelona schemer could soon be playing alongside De Gea at club level too, with Manchester United linked with a swoop.
And, according to Spanish daily Marca, De Gea left a special message for Alcantara on the game’s match ball.

The Red Devils have a need for fresh midfield blood with Paul Scholes having retired and Ryan Giggs fast approaching 40 years old.
Only time will tell if last season’s Premier League champions are able to bag Alcantara from the Blaugrana however.
