Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to make Laurent Blanc their new manager on a two-year deal, according to the television station run by the club’s Qatari owners.
Blanc had today emerged as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti at the Parc des Princes, with talks reportedly held between his agent and PSG sporting director Leonardo.
And it appears the negotiations have at last yielded a positive result for the Ligue 1 champions, with Blanc expected to be officially confirmed as manager next week.
Blanc, who led France to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012, has been out of work since leaving in June last year and had been sounded out by PSG less than 24 hours after negotiations with Fabio Capello stalled.

He has previously managed Bordeaux in Ligue 1, with whom he won the league title in just his second season in charge.
Blanc’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes met with Leonardo yesterday over a possible move for the former Manchester United and Barcelona player.
The agreement means Ancelotti is now free to join Real Madrid, who have already revealed they are expecting to unveil the Italian by 3rd July.
