Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld may be a wanted man across Europe, but the 24-year-old insisted there are no major offers in the pipeline for him to leave as he turned up for pre-season training today.
The centre-back has been courted by Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months, with Ajax understood to have already identified his replacement.
But even as pre-season training started for Ajax, Alderweireld continues to remain coy about his future destination, despite many comments from his agent regarding possible moves abroad.
His contract is set to run out next year, and Alderweireld was quoted by Voetbal Primeur as saying: "I’ve always said that I do not mind staying at Ajax for another year.

"Only if there really is something wonderful [that comes along], I would want to go. That has not happened so far and so we will wait."
The Belgian showcased his skills well last season with 33 Eredivisie games and six in the Champions League, while Ajax wrapped up their third-straight league title with relative ease.
Alderweireld has also been impressing with the national side, with his tally standing at 23 senior caps, having most recently helped Belgium beat Serbia 2-1 in their World Cup qualifier clash.
"Maybe we [at Ajax] can make history by becoming champions for the fourth time in a row", he added. "That is definitely an option.
"I can learn enough. But if there is a nice club, I’m ready for that as well. We will see."
