Gael Kakuta is likely to spend the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Vitesse, with no space for the Frenchman at parent club Chelsea.
The 22-year-old spent last season with the Arnhem outfit and is now poised to repeat that experience.
According to Omroep Gelderland, Kakuta was present at Vitesse’s training complex yesterday, for the express reason to discuss a possible further year with the club.
Kakuta made 22 appearances in the Eredivisie with Vitesse last season, impressing and helping the club to finish fourth in the Dutch top flight.

Vitesse enjoy a close relationship with Chelsea, who are thought to have little problem with Kakuta spending another year in Holland.
The forward, who is naturally left footed, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2016.
