Former Blackburn Rovers veteran Morten Gamst Pedersen has snubbed offers from various Scandinavian clubs to join Turkish Super Lig side Kardemir Karabukspor.
Danish club FC Copenhagen had been the most notable club linked with Pedersen, who left Blackburn after nine years of service as a midfielder.
His wages proved a stumbling block for FCK, but he was still believed to have been considering a fair few offers, some even from his native Norway.
However, he has at last signed on with Karabukspor on a two-year deal, with the transfer confirmed today.

Upon his official departure, Pedersen told Blackburn's official website: "This club has been a part of my life for nine years and I have given everything.
"There have been some good times and some bad times, but I think the fans and the club will have more good memories of me than bad.
"I want to play football – that is the main reason for me leaving. Of course it has been tough the last couple of years. I've always shown my love for the club and for the fans. I've made friends for life."
The move comes as a surprise given that Pedersen had indicated his desire to play Champions League football, especially when the FCK Interest was at its height.
In sharp contrast, Karabukspor have been battling for lower-half places in the Super Lig table since their promotion in 2009/10, finishing 15th last season.
They have begun 2013/14 on a positive note, though, and are currently second in the standings with a win and a draw in their opening games so far.
