Primeira Liga outfit Olhanense are wrapping up a deal for former Everton centre-back Per Koldrup on a free transfer, according to Portuguese daily Record.

The Danish defender did not have the best of times at Goodison Park, with many fans considering his signing a flop.

Indeed, Kroldrup only made a total one league appearances for the Toffees, after suffering an injury that required surgery even before he was able to play in any competitive match: He was bought for £5m.

Apart from his time with Everton, Kroldrup enjoyed relatively successful stints in Italy with Udinese and Fiorentina before making a brief move to Pescara.

Details of the deal are yet to be disclosed, although Olhanense are set to formally announce the acquisition of Kroldrup imminently.

Kroldrup has made a total 33 appearances for Denmark at the international level, making his debut for his country in February 2004. He will play under another former Everton man at the Portuguese side, in the shape of coach Abel Xavier.
