Sevilla midfielder Hedwiges Maduro will be putting clubs in England and Germany on alert after indicating he would love to play in either league.

Maduro is not part of Sevilla's official league squad this season and has only made the one Europa League qualifier appearance so far.

He had joined in July last year, but the former Ajax and Valencia man has only clocked a total of 31 games.

It has opened speculation for a move back to Ajax, though English clubs are never out of the picture for the 28-year-old.

He told Algemeen Dagblad: "I'm open. [English and German competitions] really appeal to me, especially the Bundesliga which has made a tremendous growth.

"Spain may be difficult. Sevilla will not let me go to a rival.

"There is no contact or anything [with Ajax], but everyone knows my feelings for that club. It would certainly be a option."

Maduro spent four years as a senior player at boyhood club Ajax, before moving to Valencia in January 2008.
