Ivan Rakitic has seemingly dealt his suitors a blow by revealing that he wants to sit down with current club Sevilla to discuss a new contract.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been linked with English giants Liverpool, while interest from Chelsea and Manchester United has been dubbed as something which has "honoured" him.

But Sevilla have been keen to extend Rakitic's current contract, which expires in 2015, although the club are yet to hear back from his representatives over an initial proposal.

Los Rojiblancos will be delighted with Rakitic's recent words though.
