Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admits that the Reds may move once again for Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka in the summer.

The English giants worked hard into the night on transfer deadline day to try to close a deal with Dnipro to sign Konoplyanka, but fell foul of the Ukrainian outfit being unwilling to sign off on the transfer.

That left Liverpool having not made a single signing in January. But it may not be the end of the Konoplyanka saga, with Rodgers hinting at a renewed approach in the summer.

"If we feel he can improve us, we are a professional club", he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"There will be a greater market to look at then but it wouldn't stop us", he added.

However, Rodgers wants Liverpool to focus less on transfer disappointments and more on the remainder of the campaign.

"It is of no consequence now. I don't focus on that. There is no point in me looking back."
