Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are firm fans of Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, with the pair weighing up a summer swoop.

The 23-year-old has made strong progress at Udinese this season and scored his side's third goal in the weekend 3-0 Serie A win over Chievo Verona on Saturday.

Agyemang-Badu has been attracting admiring glances from a whole host of teams and the defensively-minded midfielder has turned out for Udinese 16 times in the current Serie A campaign, scoring three goals.

That is already a marked improvement on last term for Agyemang-Badu, a campaign which saw him brought off the bench for eleven of his 25 Serie A appearances and featured no goals.

Udinese are aware they may face a fight to keep hold of the promising midfielder in the summer and the southern Italian outfit could have to fend off interest from two of London's biggest clubs.

With Arsenal and Tottenham both keen, a north London transfer tug-of-war could soon get under way for the Ghana international, who may yet see his stock rise even further at this summer's World Cup.

Agyemang-Badu has won 41 caps for the Black Stars, chipping in with seven goals in the process.

At Udinese his contract runs until the summer of 2016.
