FC Dnipro coach Juande Ramos insists he is happy with Yevhen Konoplyanka's application for the club, despite the winger suffering the pain of a nearly move to Liverpool last month.

Konoplyanka looked set for Anfield in the January transfer window, with Liverpool officials spending two days in the Ukraine and working to wrap up the switch before the deadline.

They failed though when Dnipro's owner refused to sanction the transfer. For Ramos, that is to his benefit, with Konoplyanka able to be fielded against Tottenham in this evening's Europa League match.

The Spaniard also claims that Konoplyanka has been nothing but a true professional about his situation.

"It is a normal situation when the market is open and there are rumours about the possible transfers", Ramos was quoted as saying by ITV.

"Some take place, some do not, they don't have the right to decide to move or not.

"He had a very successful training camp in Spain and he trains a lot, follows all of the directions, tries his best and I'm sure he will do his best in this competition and in this round and will help us succeed in this round.

"The fact is that players don't concentrate on their individual personalities, they have to bear in mind the success of the whole team and he will do his best to help his team succeed."
