Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has made an offer to Cagliari sporting director Nicola Salerno.
Salerno is poised to quit Cagliari when owner Massimo Cellino sells the Serie A club to former Inter board member Tommaso Giulini.
However, that may not be the end of Salerno's collaboration with Cellino, as the Italian businessman, who also owns Leeds United, is thought to want him at Elland Road.
Salerno has admitted it is "possible" he could end up in England with Cellino and now the deal-maker has a decision to make.
