Manchester City and Belgium defender Vincent Kompany has dubbed his international team-mate Divock Origi "a monster" on account of his technical ability.

Origi burst onto the scene at the World Cup with Belgium, impressing for Marc Wilmots men as they reached the quarter-finals in Brazil.

His reward was a transfer to English giants Liverpool from Lille, although he is spending the current season on loan at the French club ahead of joining the Reds in the summer of 2015.

Kompany, who will then be charged with stopping Origi in the Premier League, is full of admiration for his countryman.

"He is very gifted and talented", Kompany told AFP.

"Technically, he's a monster.

"More importantly, he is an outstanding worker in training. I see him working like crazy."

And for the Manchester City skipper, the sky really is the limit for Origi.

"If he continues in this way, in a few years he will be among the five or ten best strikers in the world."
