Tottenham Hotspur custodian Hugo Lloris believes that his team have to stay compact defensively in order to have a chance of winning against Chelsea tonight.

The Lilywhites will look to continue with their winning momentum when they visit Stamford Bridge to take on Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

The task won't be easy though, with the visiting side facing the prospect of stopping a team that are yet to be beaten this season.

Lloris though believes that the task is not impossible given their defensive display against Everton this weekend, having not given away the ball easily.

“I think if we stay compact defensively we will give ourselves a good chance", Lloris told his club's official site.

"We’ve conceded a lot of goals that we could have avoided this season, but defensively on Sunday we were stronger than in the last few games, we didn’t lose the ball easily. We need to keep going.

"It’s a big challenge because Chelsea are still unbeaten in the league and the game is coming so quickly after the last one.

"But we need to concentrate and put on a good performance all together like we did on Sunday."

Mauricio Pochettino's side are currently placed ninth in the league with 20 points from 13 matches.
