Manchester United target Ilkay Gundogan features prominently on AC Milan’s shopping list for the summer.
The Rossoneri want Carlo Ancelotti to take the reins of the team this summer and are keen to provide the former Real Madrid boss with a strong squad for next season.
With Filippo Inzaghi widely believed to be on his way out of the San Siro at the end of the season, the club are planning a major overhaul in their playing squad to shake off their recent cumbersome performances.
The AC Milan hierarchy are eyeing a number of high profile targets across the board as they plan for next season and according to Calcio Mercato, one of the names that features prominently on their wish list is Dortmund midfielder Gundogan.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at Dortmund next summer and the club hierarchy have confirmed that the midfielder will leave the Westfalenstadion at the end of the season.
Gundogan is a sought after young talent and AC Milan feel that they might be able to get the midfielder for a reasonable fee because of his contractual situation with Dortmund.
However, clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be on his trail and AC Milan are aware that they might not be able to compete on the financial front with the English duo.
