Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has said that the recent break, courtesy of the international fixtures, was much needed by the Gers and now they are raring to continue their winning run in the league.

The Scottish giants have enjoyed a blistering start to their league campaign as they sit atop the league standings with a run of nine successive wins in the Championship. They have already built up an impressive nine-point lead over second placed Raith Rovers.

Foderingham, who joined the Ibrox giants earlier this summer from Swindon Town of the English league, has said that their recent break came at the right time and now the players have their batteries charged for the upcoming games.

“It was a break we definitely needed and the gaffer gave us the time off and it gave us time to switch off mentally which was good”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“We are raring to go now and training has been good the last few days and I’m looking forward to Saturday and carrying on where we left off and getting a win."

Mark Warburton’s men will be up against Queen of the South in their next league fixture due to be played at Ibrox tomorrow, and Foderingham is eager to grab all three points from the encounter.

“Queen of the South were a very good side, they were going strong at the time as well and they did play very well.

“We’ll go out there and give them a good game and try and get a similar result.”
