Rangers right-back James Tavernier feels that team-mate Nathan Oduwa, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, is not the brightest player at the club.

The defender, who has been prolific in front of goal for Rangers this season, especially from free-kicks, let his view slip when taking part in a question and answer session with Rangers TV.

Tavernier was asked who the least intelligent player in the dressing room is and had no hesitation in pointing the finger at on-loan winger Oduwa.

"I think the least intelligent has to be Nathan", he shot back.

Tavernier was then asked who the most intelligent members of the Rangers dressing room is – and for the full-back there are several contenders.

Tavernier picked out veteran striker Kenny Miller, midfielder Dean Shiels and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

"Intelligent, I'd have to go Kenny, Deano, they are quite intelligent when I've come across them.

"Wes likes to think he's quite intelligent", Tavernier added.

Tavernier linked up with Rangers in the summer and has wasted no time in establishing himself as a firm fan favourite.

He has affectionately been dubbed the "Blue Cafu" by Gers supporters.
