Sam Byram has dodged a question over whether he will sign a new contract at Leeds United after he helped the Whites beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 tonight.

Leeds fell behind in the away fixture when Benik Afobe struck, but pulled level just before half time through Byram.

Stuart Dallas then doubled Leeds' advantage in the 51st minute, while Byram then rose highest to a Charlie Taylor cross only nine minutes later to make it 3-1.

Wolves did pull a goal back in the 81st minute, but Leeds held on and claimed all three Championship points.

Byram is out of contract in the summer and has knocked back attempts by the club to convince him to pen an extension.

He was asked after the match by Sky Sports whether he will sign a contract extension, but did his best to dodge the question.

"At the minute I'm just concentrating on trying to get back in the team", Byram said.

"I'm working unbelievably hard off the pitch. It's paid off tonight and we've done well to get the three points."

And saluting the fans, Byram added: "The support from them is unbelievable."

Whites boss Steve Evans has vowed to sell Byram next month if he does not sign a new deal.
