Leeds United have been linked with a summer swoop for young Ascoli winger Riccardo Orsolini, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

After confirming the appointment of Garry Monk as their new head coach, Leeds are expected to get back to the business of signing new players in the summer and they have their own shortlist of targets.

With just a little over a month left for pre-season training to start, Leeds are keen to sign players before the squad return for preparations ahead of the new campaign.

And it seems that Massimo Cellino could be looking towards Italy to bringin  the club’s first summer signing as it has been suggested that Leeds are interested in signing Ascoli winger Orsolini.

A product of the club’s youth academy, the 19-year-old winger broke into the first team last season and did enough in his nine senior appearances to attract the attention of the Championship side.

It has been suggested that Leeds are set to move quickly for the youngster in the coming days and could agree a deal for around €4m to take Orsolini to Elland Road this summer.

The winger caught the eye of a number of scouts with his performances for Ascoli’s academy too and has a contract until 2019 with the club.
