Crystal Palace have agreed a fee with Liverpool for centre-back Mamadou Sakho, subject to the agreement of the structure of add-ons.

The Frenchman is firmly out of favour at Anfield and spent the second half of last term on loan at Selhurst Park, playing a key role in Crystal Palace avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

The Eagles have been keen to snap him up this summer, but Liverpool's £30m asking price has remained an issue.

Now, according to the Guardian, Palace have an agreement in principle with Liverpool.

Liverpool will bank an initial £20m for Sakho, while various add-ons in the deal mean the total fee could eventually hit the £30m the Reds have been demanding.

The exact structure of the add-ons still remains to be agreed.

Despite Liverpool consistently struggling defensively, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has continued to refuse to consider bringing Sakho back into the fold.

Now the former Paris Saint-Germain star's time at Anfield is coming to an end and he will be keen to play regularly for Crystal Palace to push his case for inclusion in the France squad for next summer's World Cup.
