Matteo Darmian has insisted that he doesn’t regret his decision to continue at Manchester United, but has not ruled out the possibility of returning to Italy.

The Italy defender has struggled for game time this season after ending the last campaign on a high note, starring in Manchester United’s win over Ajax in the Europa League final.

Darmian did generate interest from clubs in Italy with Juventus and Inter Milan believed to be keen on signing him in the summer but he decided against leaving Manchester United.

The Italian’s struggle for minutes at the start of the season has put his decision to continue at Old Trafford under the scanner, however he says that he has no regrets about continuing his adventure at Old Trafford.

Darmian was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “I am going to say that I made a choice and I don’t regret it.
