Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has picked out Bristol City winger Andreas Weimann as the player the Whites will have to keep a close watch on today at Elland Road.

Despite a heavy defeat to West Brom in their last game, Leeds are going into the Championship fixture against Bristol City at Elland Road as firm favourites to pick up three points.

Bristol City are coming into the game on the back of three defeats on the trot, including a home defeat to Preston before the break, and are underdogs to get anything in west Yorkshire.

However, they do have players who can trouble a depleted Leeds defence and Gray admits that the Whites must pay attention to the attacking threat of Weimann.

The Austrian has scored five league goals this season, but has not hit the back of the net since the end of August.

But Gray believes he still has the quality to sniff out chances inside the penalty box and will be a threat for the Whites.

The Leeds legend said on LUTV when asked about Weimann: “We know he has a lot of quality.

“His goals came early on in the season and it has dried up for him, like Bristol City’s Team, who are hit and miss like a lot of teams in this division.”

“But we know he is a good finisher.

“He can play and we’ve got to be careful, especially in the 18-yard box as he can sniff out chances.”

Bristol City have lost five of their last six visits to Elland Road.
