Rangers loanee Joe Dodoo has promised he will be back in action soon after limping off due to injury during Blackpool’s win over Solihull Moors in the FA Cup.

Terry McPhillips’ men avoided a huge scare at the hands of National League outfit Solihull Moors to set up a clash with Arsenal in the FA Cup third round in January.

Blackpool established a two-goal advantage within 20 minutes, courtesy of goals from Armand Gnanduillet and Dodoo, who was later forced off injured.

However, the visitors clawed their way back into the game through a brace from Adi Yussuf, either side of half-time, before Jay Spearing netted the winner for Blackpool from the penalty spot in extra time.

McPhillips confirmed after the game that Dodoo had twisted his ankle and admitted it was a huge blow to lose him early on.

Despite the early injury scare, Dodoo took to Twitter as he revealed that he will be back in action soon and expressed his delight with securing Blackpool’s berth in the next round.

“Good win. Onto the next round. Disappointing to go off injured but will be back soon”, Dodoo wrote while posting a picture of him from the game.

Dodoo has netted six goals and registered three assists across all competitions for Blackpool so far this season as he bids to make an impression away from Ibrox.
