The Glasgow giants have already added the likes of Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten and Leon Balogun to their squad in the ongoing transfer window and could add to the list before it slams shut in October.

With Rangers linked with a host of players, including Preston North End’s Daniel Johnson, Gerrard has admitted that he is looking for players to bolster his squad.

However, the 40-year-old has made it clear that he will not jump into buying players and will only make moves for the right players, who can add quality to his team.

Everyone knows we are always looking for signings but I won’t just jump in and take anyone“, Gerrard told a press conference.

It has to be the right person to strengthen our squad.

Gerrard is also delighted with the goalscoring form of the forwards at his disposal and is glad to see summer signing Itten get up to speed.

Our forwards are all scoring goals which is great“, the Gers boss enthused.

Itten is getting up to speed also now which is great.

We are happy with the level of performance and the firepower we have.

Rangers visit Hibernian in the league on Sunday and the Light Blues will be looking to keep their unbeaten run intact, having won six and drawn one of their games so far.
