The Whites are in the market for a winger in the final stretch of the transfer window and the club look to be closing in on a signing.

Kerk has been identified as a target and Leeds are making steady progress towards getting a deal done to sign the Dutch winger.

The winger is on the radar of Cagliari and Hellas Verona as well, but Leeds seem to have the edge in the race to take Kerk to the Premier League in the ongoing transfer window.

According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Leeds are close to working out an agreement with Utrecht for the signature of the Dutch wide-man.

The Eredivisie outfit want around €10m from his departure and Leeds are on the verge of meeting that asking price for the winger.

Kerk is said to be keen on the move to the Premier League and is waiting for the two clubs to finalise the details of the transfer.

Utrecht have rejected a €7m offer from Cagliari, but are now close to agreeing his sale with Leeds.

Kerk has been at Utrecht since 2012 and has scored 33 times in 136 appearances for the club.
