The north London outfit are left with just two senior goalkeepers after Matt Macey moved to Scottish Premiership side Hibernian this month.

With only two senior custodians in their ranks, it has been suggested that Arsenal could look to sign a new goalkeeper before the end of the winter transfer window.

Gunners boss Arteta has now confirmed that they will look to find a solution to add depth to their goalkeeping department during the winter.

We are assessing the situation in the three positions in the goalkeeping area, and we will find a different solution probably in this winter“, Arteta told a press conference.

There have also been claims that summer arrival Alex Runarsson could leave the club on loan if Arsenal sign a back-up for Bernd Leno.

However, Arteta revealed that no such loan move has been lined up for the Icelandic goalkeeper as of yet.

There’s nothing yet [regarding a possible loan move for Runarsson]“, the Spaniard added.

The Arsenal boss also insisted that Eddie Nketiah, who has been linked with West Ham, will not leave the club during this window.

No [Nketiah will not leave the club his window]“, Arteta said.

Arsenal have continued to be linked with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
