The teenage striker spent the first half of the season on loan at Scottish club Aberdeen, where he scored two goals in 14 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

The striker is back at Leeds following the end of his loan stint, but the Yorkshire giants do not want him to play Under-23s football.

Leeds want him to get more first-team experience at another club as part of his development and want to loan him out again.

And it has been claimed that Edmondson is set to be loaned out again to another club in the next few days.

Several League One clubs have been in touch with Leeds for the young striker as they look to snap him up, with Northampton Town one of the sides in the mix.

Leeds appear to be close to finalising Edmondson’s departure and he is due to leave Elland Road again soon.

The striker has struggled to find favour with Marcelo Bielsa and is again set for another stint away from the club.
