David Moyes’ men are currently fourth in the Premier League standings, occupying a Champions League spot with 13 games left to be played this season.

West Ham have won seven of their last ten league games, are currently on a four-game unbeaten streak and are not planning on slowing down any time soon, according to Hammers starlet Johnson.

The 21-year-old has insisted that the capital club are not focusing on where they are in the league table at present as it can give them a false sense of security at a time when they need to push even harder to keep hold of their spot.

Johnson admits his club are on track to seal a European spot but stressed they are approaching the remainder of the season one game at a time.

“European football is something that, at the moment, it looks like we’re on track for, but we’re just trying to take things week by week in training first and putting our finishing touches to how we want to go about each game”, Johnson told West Ham’s official site.

“We’re not really focusing on the table because although the table doesn’t lie, it can give you a false sense of security.

“So, I suppose we’re just hoping we can do the best we can and get as many points as we can from the last 13 games.”

West Ham are set to face a strong challenge at the weekend as they will travel to league leaders Manchester City in their upcoming top flight clash.
