Two first-half goals were enough for West Ham to beat Leeds 2-0 at the London Stadium in the Premier League game.

Leeds were better in the second half but missed opportunities to hurt West Ham after the break and left the London Stadium empty-handed.

Wright insisted that Leeds are an exciting team to watch, but feels that they will need to improve and learn how to stay alive in games despite sometimes not playing well.

He is of the view that Leeds need to be more ruthless in attack, which they were not at the London Stadium.

The former striker said on Premier League TV after the match: “They are a very exciting team.

“I think all they need to do, for me, if sometimes it’s not going well, is to stay in the game.

“They have got to be more ruthless up top, we know that Patrick Bamford has scored a few goals this season and he has done well, but in games like that, Leeds have got to learn not to lose them.

“I think next season it would be interesting to see who he signs and how they play.”

Leeds have lost four of their last five games in the league and will be looking to return to winning ways when they play host to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in their next game.
