Six Premier League clubs in the shape of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, have agreed to join a European Super League.

As founding members of the league they would play in it every season, without the need to qualify, and be in line for large revenues.

The backlash from the football community has been swift and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville blasted the rebel league when news of it emerged on Sunday.

Now Everton star Richarlison has indicated he agrees with Neville on the league by retweeting the pundit’s take on it and applauding.

The teams involved would remove sporting merit from the equation and though they would be poised to allow five clubs to qualify, they would not themselves be at risk of missing out, regardless of how they performed on the pitch.

Arsenal, who would be founding members, have lost 12 times in the Premier League this season and sit in ninth, while Tottenham are seventh and have suffered ten losses.

Richarlison’s Everton sit in eighth spot and have picked up three points more than Arsenal, while they also have a game in hand on the Gunners.
