Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have joined hands with from clubs in Spain and Italy to form a breakaway Super League.

It has plunged European football into disarray over the last 48 hours and will likely have massive ramifications if the proposed plans go through in the next few months.

Klopp is not in favour of being in the Super League and Reds star James Milner also made his opposition clear.

Neville is not expecting the Manchester United owners to change their mind, but believes Klopp and the Liverpool stars can force their overlords to change direction.

He also feels Manchester City will turn as well and that could lead to the plan falling apart at the seams if the Premier League clubs are no longer united behind it.

Neville wrote on Twitter: “Joel Glazer won’t turn easily!

“Jurgen Klopp and the senior players could turn FSG

“Man City most likely to crack. This isn’t for them!

“The other 3 will follow the lead of others.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez defended the formation of the Super League on Monday night and insisted that European football needs a change in the system.
