The Gunners are overhauling their squad under boss Mikel Arteta and heavily invested in recruiting fresh talent this summer.

Goalkeeper is one area Arsenal bolstered in the last transfer window as they succeeded in roping in Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United.

The 23-year-old is currently sharing the duties between the sticks with club number 1 Leno, who started the Gunners’ first three Premier League games of the season.

Ramsdale earned a spot in the starting eleven in Arsenal’s last two Premier League outings, keeping clean sheets and it appears he could be taking over from Leno in the long run.

Arsenal are moving to the next phase of their squad overhaul and will make Leno available for transfer when the window swings open in January.

The north London giants view Ramsdale as their long-term first choice shot-stopper and are open to selling Leno in the upcoming transfer window.

Leno arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2018 from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen and it is suggested a return to Germany is a likely possibility.
