Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds finished in the top half of the table in their first season back in the Premier League since 2004 and it raised expectations for this term.
However, Leeds were quiet in the transfer window over the summer and the only senior players added were Junior Firpo and Daniel James.
The side have been hit by injuries of late and boss Bielsa has been forced to dip into the youth ranks due to his insistence on running a small senior squad.
Leeds fans are now assessing the start to the season, with David Eddy insisting that a number of players at the club have been playing above themselves and cannot sustain the level.
Emilio Goodalli pointed out that contracts for many players have been renewed and is baffled over Tyler Roberts still being at the club.
LuFc Ben is sure Leeds will survive and thinks that it is a case of needing to build slowly, while Cumbrian White thinks just avoiding relegation would be an achievement.
However, for Allbowe, Leeds did not overachieve last term and have just been hit by a tough start and an injury crisis.
It’s an interesting dilemma. My perspective is that a number of players have been batting above their average for a couple of years. Some can’t sustain this and a changing of the guard will be required to take us to the next level. Sentiment will have to be parked. #lufc

a lot have just had new contracts awarded too, why they renewed roberts contract is mistifying, championship player at best, its a bit soul destroying when they replace raphinia with roberts, what about summerville like for like

We will stay up. Half the problem is we over achieved last season. (Yes it’s true) just because we all think leeds are too 6. Reality we ain’t. We just gotta build slowly. Last season was an anomaly. Trust the process #lufc @LUFC #mot #alaw

Majority of games last season were glorified training sessions. Although a top half finish was outstanding anything above 17th place this season would be a decent achievement.

We didn’t over achieve at all. We were better than the clubs below us!! This year we have had a tough start plenty of injuries and no chance to get into our rhythm the Bielsa way. Trust the process – trust Marcelo – trust @andrearadri . They have transformed us
